Department of public health Dentistry, Sri Venkateshwaraa Dental college in collaboration of National service scheme and Mooncity Rotary club conducted a dental camp
The dental camp held at the Municipality Government Higher Secondary School in Thiruvannamalai, Tamilnadu was organized by the Department of Public Health Dentistry at Sri Venkateshwaraa Dental College, in collaboration with the National Service Scheme and the Mooncity Rotary Club. The camp took place on 11.10.2022 from 9:00am to 4:00pm, and was attended by 600 school students. It was led by Dr. Shobana, a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Public Health Dentistry, and Dr. Abinaya, a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Pedodontics, with the assistance of CRRI.
During the camp, the students received oral health education, including instruction on different types of brushing techniques appropriate for their age group and on how to floss properly. They also received dietary instructions to help them maintain good oral health. Overall, the goal of the dental camp was to promote good oral hygiene and educate the students on how to take care of their teeth and gums to prevent dental problems in the future.
