INAUGURATION OF FIRST YEAR NURSING COURSES HELD ON 10TH FEBRUARY 2021 ORGANIZED BY INDIRANI COLLEGE OF NURSING

Inaugural function for the 13th batch of  B.Sc (Nursing) 8th batch of  M.Sc (Nursing) 9th batch of P.P.B.Sc (Nursing) and DGNM 11th batch of ANM for the academic year 2020-2021 was organized by Indirani college of Nursing, a unit of Sri Venkateshwaraa group of Institution at Sri Sai Auditorium SVMCH & RC. 

The Programme began with an invocation, and the lighting of lamp by the Chairman of RET Shri B. Ramachandiran and all the dignitaries. The Principal, Indirani College of Nursing Prof.Dr.Malliga Kannan welcomed the dignitaries and the invitees with the warm words of welcome. Dr.Mahadevan.S , Dean (PG &Research studies), SVGI, and Dean Dr.Ratnasamy S–SVMCH&RC and Dr. Suresh. K,DMS  cum HOD of Medicine felicitated the gathering. In the felicitation, they elaborated about the role of nurses and their importance in the health care industry and their own experience with the nursing professionals. They appreciated about the dedication and qualities of nurses which make all the budding nurses feel pride in choosing the Nursing Profession as their life carrier.

The chief operating officer of SVGI group of Institution Dr.B. Vidhya, presided over the function and rendered presidential address. In her speech she has enlightened about the facilities available at college and the parent hospital for the hands on training of nursing students at ICON ( Indirani College Of Nursing ) and scope of nurses in various fields at the present scenario. She highlighted the achievement of placement cell at ICON, for placement of all the students in reputed institutes at national level like Apollo Hospitals Chennai, Rainbow Hospital Hyderabad, Medenta Medcity super specialty hospital New Delhi etc., . She appreciated the achievement of quality improvements made in ICON for obtaining ISO accreditation and striving for NAAC accreditation.

On this occasion all the Deans, Principals, HODs and teaching faculties, Nursing Superintendent and administrative staffs of SVGI adorn the auditorium by being present amidst of the students and parents of the fresher’s batch. Fresher’s with the family members has given a glorious presence with  proud for their right decision. At the end of the memorial event Dr.Rajeswari.R, Vice Principal, ICON delivered vote of thanks with much gratitude for each and everyone in this event.
