WORLD NO TOBACCO DAY RALLY

On the occasion of “World No Tobacco Day” on the 31^st of May 2023, the State Tobacco Control Cell in Puducherry organized a joint event with the National Tobacco Control Program (NTCP), the National Oral Health Program (NOHP), the National Tuberculosis Elimination Program (NTEP), and the Indian Dental Association (IDA). Dr. G. Shobana, Senior Lecturer, Department Of PHD, and Dr. S. Duraimurugan, Senior Lecturer, Department Of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, CRRIs and the third year students, participated in the rally. Inaugurated was done by Dr. Sriramulu, Director of Health and Mission Director (NHM). Dr. C. Venkatesh Couppoussamy, State Nodal Officer (NTCP), Dr. O. Kavipriya, BDS, State Nodal Officer (NOHP), and Dr. Suriya Kumar, PHMS, State Consultant (NTCP) graced the occasion. The rally commenced from Kamban Kalaiarangam and came to an end at the Gandhi statue, Rock beach. Information, education, and communication (IEC) materials were distributed to the general public by the students
