SVCET AIDS and IOTCSBCT Department conducted 1 day workshop Full stack Developement and Generative AI on 24th September 2026

The Department of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science (AI&DS) and the Department of Internet of Things and Cyber Security – Blockchain Technology (IoT&CS-BCT) of Sri Venkateshwaraa College of Engineering & Technology (SVCET), Ariyur, Puducherry, organized a One-Day Hands-on Workshop on “Full Stack Development & Generative AI – From Ideas to Intelligent Solutions” on 24 September 2026 (Thursday) at the ECE Seminar Hall from 9.30 a.m. to 4.30 p.m.

The programme was organized with the objective of providing students with practical exposure to full stack application development, Generative AI, AI-assisted software engineering, and modern intelligent application development. The workshop aimed to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and industry-oriented technical skills by introducing students to current tools, technologies, development practices, and real-world applications.

Mr. Narayanasamy Kanakasabai, Principal AI Consultant and Certified Chief AI Officer, specializing in Agentic AI & AI-Native Engineering, was the Resource Person for the programme. He delivered an informative and hands-on session covering various aspects of full stack development and Generative AI.

The resource person provided practical insights into full stack application development, including the integration of frontend, backend, databases, APIs, and cloud deployment. The session also introduced students to Generative AI, Prompt Engineering, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and AI Agents, enabling them to understand how AI can be integrated into modern software applications.

The workshop further focused on AI-assisted Software Engineering, real-world use cases, and live demonstrations. Students gained exposure to how Generative AI and intelligent development tools can support software development, problem-solving, automation, and application enhancement. The session also highlighted career opportunities and future trends in Full Stack Development, Generative AI, Agentic AI, and AI-native engineering.

The workshop concluded with an emphasis on continuous learning, practical skill development, innovation, and preparing students for emerging technology-driven career opportunities. The programme served as a valuable platform for students to gain practical knowledge of Full Stack Development and Generative AI and encouraged them to explore innovative solutions using modern technologies.

The Speaker was honoured by Dr.K.B.Jayarraman Vice Principal and Dr.N.Balaji Dean Academics. The Programme was well organised by Ms. S.Pavithra and all the staff members of AIDS and IOTCSBCT Departments.
