Government of India has started the National Intellectual Property Awareness Mission (NIPAM) in which Sri Venkateshwaraa College of Engineering & Technology, Puducherry has joined and organized an awareness programme on Intellectual Property Rights on the occasion of 75th Anniversary of our Nations Independence under the banner of Azadi Ki Amrit Mahotsav.

Government of India has started the National Intellectual Property Awareness Mission (NIPAM) in which Sri Venkateshwaraa College of Engineering & Technology, Puducherry has joined and organized an awareness programme on Intellectual Property Rights on the occasion of 75th Anniversary of our Nations Independence under the banner of Azadi Ki Amrit Mahotsav. The Government of India has started the mission under which awareness on Intellectual Property Rights would be imparted to 1 million students during the period 15 August 2021 to 15 August 2022.

The programme was organized in Sai Auditorium, SVGI in which Mr. M. Madan Raj, Examiner of Patents & Designs, Indian Patent Office, Chennai and Mr. A. Lakshmi Narayan, Examiner of Patents & Designs, Indian Patent Office attended the program and raised awareness among the students about Intellectual Property. Through this programme, students were exposed to various types of IPR which ignited the Intellectual thoughts thereby motivating them to innovate and further transform their Innovative Ideas into Intellectual Property Assests.

Shri. B. Ramachandiran, Chairman, SVGI encouraged the students to involve themselves for new innovation to the country; Dr. B. Vidhya, COO, SVGI presided over the event. Dr. S. Pradeep Devaneyan, Principal, SVCET and Dr. K.B. Jayarraman, Dean, SVCET felicitated the programme.

Head of the Departments, faculty members and students were present during the occasion, Dr. G. Amuthavalli, R&D Head and the team well organized the programme.
