Faculty Served as Resource Person at Interdisciplinary Seminar on World Cancer Day 2026

Our faculty member Mrs. G. Subalakshmi, Assistant Professor, Sri Venkateshwaraa College of Physiotherapy, served as a Resource Person at an Interdisciplinary Seminar titled “United by Unique: An Interdisciplinary Approach to Cancer Care”, organized by Indirani College of Nursing (ICON), Ariyur, Puducherry, on 23rd February 2026, in observance of World Cancer Day 2026.

Mrs. G. Subalakshmi delivered an insightful lecture on the topic “Rehabilitation and Quality of Life in Cancer Survivors.” She highlighted the significant role of rehabilitation and physiotherapy in improving functional ability, managing treatment-related complications, and enhancing the overall quality of life among cancer survivors. The session emphasized the importance of a multidisciplinary approach in cancer care to support patients during and after treatment.

Her participation in the seminar was carried out under the guidance of our Principal, Prof. Dr. Jeyanthi S, Sri Venkateshwaraa College of Physiotherapy.

At the end of the session, Mrs. G. Subalakshmi was honoured by the Vice Principal of Indirani College of Nursing, Dr. Prof. R. Rajeswari, in recognition of her valuable contribution to the seminar. The event served as a meaningful platform for knowledge sharing and interdisciplinary collaboration in improving cancer care and survivorship.
