Hands-on Training Workshop on Medical Laboratory Technology

The Department of Microbiology, in association with the Research Cell and IQAC, organized a Hands-on Training Workshop on Medical Laboratory Technology on 26 May 2026 at the Sai Auditorium and the Department of Microbiology Laboratory, Sri Venkateshwara Medical College Hospital & Research Centre.

The workshop was conducted as a Quality Initiative to provide participants with practical exposure to essential medical laboratory techniques and best laboratory practices. A total of 200 participants attended the programme and actively engaged in the hands-on training sessions conducted by the faculty of the Department of Microbiology.

The programme was organized under the guidance of Dr. R. Vinod, Vice Principal (Administration) and Professor & Head, Department of Microbiology, Dr. R. Latha, Professor cum IQAC Coordinator, and Dr. K. Revathi, Research Coordinator. The workshop successfully enhanced participants' practical skills and reinforced the importance of quality and accuracy in medical laboratory practices.
