PODCAST: IS ORAL HEALTH BEING NEGLECTED IN THE QUEST FOR OVERALL HEALTH?

A PODCAST was organized on the 12^th of April 2023, at Sri Venkateshwaraa Dental College, Ariyur, Puducherry, to observe “World Health Day”. The event was coordinated by the Department of Public Health Dentistry and supported by Dr. B. Vidhya, MDS, the Chief Operating Officer, and Dr. S. Senthilnathan, the Principal and HOD, Department of Periodontology. Dr. Devakumari, Professor and Head, Department of Dentistry, Indira Gandhi Medical College and Research Institute, Puducherry, was the guest speaker. Dr. Devakumari highlighted various initiatives taken by the government of Puducherry to tackle the growing problems associated with neglected oral health. The speaker was interviewed by CRRIs N. Hemnathjayavasan, S. Hemna, and C. Raeshmi. Dr. Kuldeep Singh Shekhawat, Reader, HOD, Department of Public Health Dentistry; Dr. S. Devameena, Senior Lecturer, Department of Prosthodontics; and Dr. G. Shobana, Senior Lecturer, Department of Public Health Dentistry participated in the program.
