RED CARD CAMPAIGN ON 3-2-2023
United Nations have launched a Global Red Card Campaign -Raising a Red Card to all forms of discrimination and violence against women & girls.
A community-based, multifaceted strategy and ongoing involvement with numerous stakeholders are necessary to reduce violence against women and girls. The most successful efforts tackle the root causes of violence, such as gender roles and the social acceptance of violence. One in three women worldwide experience gender-based violence also known as violence against women and girls, at some point in their lives.
As a initiation, with the philanthropic guidance of shri.B.Ramachandiran, Chairman,SVGI, Office of Corporate Relations, Sri Venkateshwaraa Group of Institutions in association with Youth United Council of India (YUCI) makes a bold commitment to stand against all discrimination and violence against women and girls. We organized a guest lecture on the topic "Gender Equality today for a sustainable tomorrow" featuring a key note motivational speaker Mr.Musee Pugazh, Transformation Coach and Chief Concept Architect, Skill Bench. 250 plus students from our institution participated. Ms.Simulia Physiotherapy welcomed the gathering. Dr.B.Vidhya,COO,SVGI felicitated the program and initiated the pledge to the students .All the heads of the institutions graced the occasion. Mr.J.Anandhraj,Placement officer ,SVGI,well organized the program and showed his gratitude by delivering the vote of thanks.
This red card campaign aims to prevent and eliminate violence against women and girls around the world calling for global action to increase awareness and create opportunities for discussion on challenges and solutions.
