World Environment Day 2026

The IQAC & Research Cell of Sri Venkateshwara Medical College Hospital & Research Centre (SVMCH&RC) celebrated World Environment Day on 05 June 2026 at the Sai Auditorium with the theme "Inspired by Nature. For Climate. For Our Future."

The programme was attended by 250 students and 9 faculty members. Dr. Deepak Samuel, Scientist 'E', National Centre for Sustainable Coastal Management (NCSCM), MoEFCC, Government of India, and Dr. Arulrajan, IFS, Chief Wildlife Warden, Government of Puducherry, delivered insightful sessions on environmental conservation, climate change, biodiversity, and sustainable living.

A tree plantation drive was also organized on the campus to promote environmental responsibility and encourage eco-friendly practices among students and faculty.

The programme was conducted under the guidance of the IQAC & Research Cell and successfully created awareness about protecting natural resources and fostering a sustainable future through collective action.
