COASTAL BEACH CLEANING ACTIVITY BY NSS STUDENTS VOLUNTEERS ON 20TH SEPTEMBER 2025 SATURDAY
On September 20, 2025, the Indian Coast Guard, Puducherry, and the Puducherry NSS Cell jointly organized an International Coastal Cleanup Day on Beach Road near Gandhi Statue in Puducherry. Sri Venkateshwaraa College of Engineering and Technology was proud to participate,with NSS volunteers joining forces with other institutions to contribute to the cleanliness and conservation of the coastal environment. Led by NSS Officer Dr.D.Sathiskumar, SVCET NSS Programme Coordinator Mr.Selvakumar AP/EEE, the students reported at 6:30 a.m. sharply and enthusiastically participated in the initiative, highlighting the importance of maintaining coastal cleanliness and demonstrating the power of collective action and community participation in making a difference. The event's success showcased the college's commitment to environmental conservation and community service, instilling a sense of responsibility and civic engagement among the youth.
