SVCET NSS PROGRAMME Run for Change For Special Kids on 31st August 2025 at Gandhi Statue Beach Road Pondicherry

The Rotary Club of Pondicherry Beach Town, in association with Technosport, successfully organized a charity run titled “Run for Change – For Special Kids” on 31st August 2025 at Gandhi Statue, Beach Road, Pondicherry.

The event was flagged off by the Chief Guest, DIG of Puducherry, Mr. P. Sathiyasundaram, IPS, who praised the noble initiative and motivated the participants.

The run was marked by its inclusive spirit, with enthusiastic participation from special kids, transgender individuals, differently-abled students (deaf and mute), and the general public. Their presence not only created a vibrant atmosphere but also conveyed a strong message of equality, fitness, and compassion.

Our SVCET students contributed significantly to the smooth conduct of the program by managing spot registrations, distributing provisions at booths, and issuing participation certificates to all runners. Their committed involvement added to the success of the event and spread awareness about social responsibility and inclusivity.

 Mr. Selvakumar AP/EEE SVCET NSS coordinator has co-ordinated the event in a well planned manner along with the NSS Volunteers.

The marathon turned out to be a memorable community gathering that reinforced the values of togetherness, acceptance, and service to society.
