Hackfinity 2025 – World’s First Prompt-Exclusive Hackathon at SIMATS Engineering, Chennai

Hackfinity 2025, the World’s First Prompt-Exclusive Hackathon, was organized by the Department of Research & Innovation at SIMATS Engineering, Chennai, on July 15th & 16th, 2025. This 24-hour hackathon, officially recognized as a World Record Attempt, aimed to empower students to develop innovative Agentic AI solutions through advanced prompt engineering.

Over 70 teams from across the country participated in this high-energy event, showcasing their creativity, problem-solving skills, and technical expertise. The hackathon was powered by esteemed partners such as StartupTN, iTNT, Vidhai, and title sponsor DiGiMAXX, with mentorship and guidance from industry experts throughout the competition.

Our students Sathish M., Danush Kumar K., Vigneshwaran V., and Mahalakshmi A., all Third Year B.Tech CSE students from Sri Venkateshwaraa College of Engineering and Technology, developed an advanced AI-powered DevOps Agent that automates code reviews, testing, deployments, and monitoring. Leveraging Large Language Models (LLMs) and a Multi-modal Control Plane (MCP), the system provides real-time adaptability, self-healing pipelines, and continuous learning, aimed at revolutionizing CI/CD workflows.

Among 70+ competitive teams, our students were honored with the prestigious “Best Technical Approach” award, recognizing their innovative use of Agentic AI and effective technical design.

Hackfinity 2025 offered invaluable exposure, networking opportunities, and hands-on experience in building intelligent, autonomous DevOps systems. Winning this accolade marks a proud milestone for our students as they continue their journey in shaping the future of AI-driven automation and software development.
