ANTI TOBACCO DAY AWARENESS PROGRAMME RALLY

n commemoration of Anti -Tobacco day 2024, NSS unit of Indirani College of Nursing has organized a “Awareness Rally” on the theme “Protecting Children from Tobacco Industry Interference” on 31.05.2024 by 10.00 am to 12.30 pm at Nettapakkam, Puducherry. NSS volunteers have participated in Rally to create awareness among the public regarding ill effects of tobacco and educate the public to protect future generations and ensure a constant decrease in tobacco consumption.

The program was started at 10.00 am with the warm welcome by Dr.Muganthi, Medical Officer from PHC, Netapakkam .The rally was performed by NSS volunteers .This programme has raised awareness about tobacco consumption especially among youth .NSS volunteers created awareness by raising slogans along with placards from Nettapakkam via Kariyamanikkam.The Programme was conducted successfully under the guidance of Dr.Prof. Malliga.M, Principal and Dr.Prof.Rajeswari.R, Vice Principal. The program ended at 12.30 pm with the feedback session. Dr.Prof.Rathidevi.S, NSS Programme Officer, Ms.R.Sowmiya, Nursing Tutor, coordinated the overall programme along with NSS Volunteers
