BASIC LIFE SUPPORT
An American Heart Association-accredited Basic Life Support Workshop was organized by the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial surgery in association with Dr Surendar, Emergency Medicine, IGMCRI and team for interns, post graduates and interested faculties on 27th to 30th January 2025 with a total of 134 participants. The workshop included both a multiple-choice questionnaire and practical hands-on assessments to evaluate the participants' proficiency in CPR techniques for adults, children, and infants. The program incorporated scenario-based discussions, enhancing its interactive nature. Additionally, the instructors provided clear and comprehensive demonstrations on techniques such as abdominal thrusts and methods to prevent choking in unresponsive patients.
