Theme of 2021: Leadership and participation of persons with disabilities
Department of Public health Dentistry, Sri Venkateshwaraa Dental college in collaboration with National Service scheme (NSS) and Satya Special school conducted a World Disability Day on 23.12.2021 from 10.00 am to 01.00 Pm. The main objective of the program to interact with special children and their parents & care takers about the importance of oral hygiene of special children. Students of Third year, final year, CRRIs gave the oral health education (brushing techniques and homemade powered toothbrush and comic activity to special children). Prof. Dr.S. Senthilnadhan, MDS- Principal, SVDC and Chief operating officer Dr. B.Vidhya, MDS, Dr. Kuldeep Singh Shekhawat, MDS- Associate Professor, Dept. of PHD, Dr.G.Shobana, MDS- Assistant Professor, Dept. of PHD, SVDC, Puducherry. Mrs. Chitra Shah- Founder member and Director of Satya special school & Mrs. Bagya lakshmi organized this program.
