Puducherry, September 6, 2024 — On World Physiotherapy Day 2024, Prof. Paulraj Manickavelu was honoured as a Resource Speaker at the Continuing Professional Development (CPD) program organized by the School of Physiotherapy at Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth. His keynote lecture, titled "Hip Biomechanics in Patients with LBP: Unlocking the Secrets," offered an in-depth examination of the complex relationship between hip mechanics and chronic low back pain (LBP). Prof. Paulraj highlighted how abnormalities in hip function can exacerbate LBP and stressed the importance of a comprehensive understanding of hip and back biomechanics for improving patient outcomes. He introduced innovative diagnostic methods for assessing hip biomechanics and discussed evidence-based treatment approaches that integrate physiotherapy, exercise, and lifestyle modifications. The session concluded with an engaging Q&A, where participants delved into real-world applications and case studies.
