Mega Blood Donation Camp Held at ICON to Mark Chairman’s Birthday

On the occasion of our beloved Chairman’s birthday, Indirani College of Nursing successfully organized a Mega Blood Donation Camp on 28.04.2026 at ICON. In collaboration with Sri Venkateshwara Medical College Hospital and Research Centre and Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research, Puducherry, the event was organized to promote the noble cause of voluntary blood donation and to create awareness about the importance of regular blood donation in saving lives.

The inaugural session was presided over by the Organizing Chairperson and Organizing Secretary. Volunteers from various departments of Sri Venkateshwara Group of Institutions actively participated in the camp. Under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Jeyanthi S, Principal of Sri Venkateshwara College of Physiotherapy, Mrs. G. Subalakshmi, Assistant Professor, coordinated the participants for the blood donation camp.

Students and staff enthusiastically came forward to donate blood. Each donor underwent a preliminary health check-up before donation, and refreshments were provided after donation. The collected blood units will be used to support patients in urgent need, including those suffering from anemia and those undergoing surgeries.

The event concluded on a positive note, with participants receiving appreciation certificates for their valuable contribution. The organizers extended heartfelt thanks to all donors, volunteers, and medical professionals whose support made the event a grand success.
