MeriLiFE: Massive Tree Plantation and Van Mahotsav celebration 1 Jul, 2023 – Fri, 7 Jul, 2023

With the intention creating and building up a better future for our future generation and environment Sri Venkateshwaraa College of Engineering and Technology in association with MeriLiFE organized a massive plantation programme on 07.07.2023. MeriLiFE, a Government portal that empowers individuals to lead a sustainable lifestyle by making pro-planet choices in their daily lives, introduced by the Honorable Prime Minister at COP 26, which emphasizes mindful and deliberate utilization instead of mindless and wasteful consumption. This programme encouraged all the staff, students, and faculty members to take a pledge to actively support and promote Tree Plantation. By taking the pledge, In order to create a ripple effect of awareness and inspire others to join the nature path. The programme successfully embarked on planting almost 50 trees to grow in future, near Ariyur Lake. The event was successfully organized by NSS team of the College.
