National Science Day is celebrated in India on 28 February each year to mark the discovery of the Raman effect by Indian physicist Sir C. V. Raman on 28 February 1928. For his discovery, Sir C.V. Raman was awarded the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1930.

 Sri Venkateshwaraa College of Engineering and Technology , Puducherry is celebrating National Science Day every year for the benefits of Engineering students on the topic of impacts on Education Skills and Work. The following competitions have been conducted for the Engineering students,

  • Essay Writing
  • Elocution
  • Drawing and painting
  • Poster Presentation
  • Photography in the topic of future of STI ( Science Technology and innovation )

 All the Engineering branch students have participated in the competitions and the winners are awarded with prizes and certificates. All the HOD’s Assistant Professors, Associate professors along with Dean Dr.K.B.Jayarraman and Principal Dr.S.Pradeep Devaneyan are participated in the prize winning function which is held at Sri Venkateshwaraa Engineering College campus.
