National Oral Pathology Day celebrated Sri Venkateshwaraa Dental College
On the occasion of National Oral Pathology Day, the Department of Oral Pathology and NSS unit of Sri Venkateshwaraa Dental College organized a community outreach programme for Malayali tribe population on 03, March ,2026 at Kalvarayan Hills, Kallakurichi district. The programme focused on AI-based oral cancer screening for adults and comprehensive oral screening for school children. Faculty members, postgraduate students, and interns actively participated in the screening activities. The initiative aimed to promote early detection of oral lesions, create awareness about oral health, and improve access to dental care in underserved rural populations. The College thanks the District adminstration for their full support and cooperation. The programme was well received and fulfilled its public health objectives successfully.
