SVCOPTians Walkathon Participation @ Pondy Rock Beach

On 7th March 2026, around 49 students from Sri Venkateswaraa College of Physiotherapy actively participated in the Walkathon titled “Step Up – Rise, Inspire, Achieve”, organized by Round Table India and Ladies Circle India through Pondicherry Heritage Round Table 167 and Pondicherry Heritage Ladies Circle on the occasion of International Women's Day. The event was conducted at Rock Beach and began at 6:00 AM. The walkathon started from the Mahatma Gandhi Statue and passed through Lok Niwas, Dumas Street, Bussy Street and Beach Road before concluding at the starting point around 8:30 AM. The organizers provided refreshments, water bottles, T-shirts and participation certificates to all the participants.

This walkathon created awareness among the public about the importance of women empowerment and encouraged people to adopt a healthy and active lifestyle. It also promoted social responsibility, unity and community participation among the youth. Such events motivate students and the public to contribute towards social causes and highlight the significance of physical activity for maintaining overall health and well-being.

The event concluded successfully with enthusiastic participation from students and the public, spreading a positive message of health, Women empowerment and community spirit in society.
