Beach Clean Up Drive was successfully organized by the NSS UNIT OF SVCET and Plan Foundation on 22nd July 2026 at Pondy Marina Beach

The Beach Clean-Up Drive was successfully organized by the Plan Foundation on 22.07.2026 at Pondy Marina Beach with the objective of promoting environmental sustainability and creating awareness about responsible waste management.

The event witnessed the enthusiastic participation of 50 volunteers from Sri Venkateshwaraa College of Engineering and Technology, who actively engaged in collecting litter and restoring the cleanliness of the beach. Their dedication, teamwork, and commitment played a significant role in enhancing the cleanliness of the coastal environment.

The clean-up drive was supported by Green Warriors and the Pondicherry Municipality staff, who collaborated effectively in waste collection, segregation, material diversion, and the proper disposal of the collected waste. Their coordinated efforts ensured that recyclable and non-recyclable waste were managed in an environmentally responsible manner.

The Plan Foundation team efficiently managed the overall event, including volunteer registration, activity coordination, and logistical arrangements. Refreshments were provided to all volunteers after the clean-up activity, and participation certificates were distributed in recognition of their valuable contribution and commitment to environmental conservation.

The Beach Clean-Up Drive was a successful community initiative that strengthened collaboration among educational institutions, non-governmental organizations, local authorities, and volunteers.
