Industrial exposure visit to Eaton Power Quality Pvt Ltd on 17th April 2026

The Standards Club of Sri Venkateshwaraa College of Engineering & Technology, in association with the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), successfully organized an industrial exposure visit to Eaton Power Quality Pvt. Ltd., Sedarapet, Puducherry on 17th April 2026. The visit was arranged by the Standards Club coordinators with the support of faculty members to provide practical industrial exposure to students.

A total of 60 students from the II, III, and IV years of the Department of Mechanical Engineering and Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE) actively participated in the visit.

 The initiative aimed to bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-time industrial practices.

During the visit, students were exposed to power quality systems, manufacturing processes, and the importance of standards in industrial operations. They observed modern equipment, understood workflow processes, and interacted with industry professionals, gaining valuable insights into quality assurance and standardization.

The outcome of the visit was highly beneficial, as students enhanced their technical knowledge, developed awareness of industrial standards, and gained clarity on career opportunities in the engineering sector. Such collaborative initiatives with BIS play a crucial role in nurturing industry-ready and standards-conscious engineers.
