Graduation Day Celebration for MPT and BPT at Sri Venkateshwaraa College of Physiotherapy

On the 16th of July, 2025, Sri Venkateshwaraa College of Physiotherapy (SVCOPT) celebrated the graduation day for the 8th batch of Master of Physiotherapy (MPT) and the 10th batch of Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) students. The event was graced by the esteemed presence of the chief guest, Prof. P. Prakash Babu, Vice Chancellor, Pondicherry University, Puducherry. The grand occasion was presided over by the Chairman of Sri Venkateshwaraa Group of Institutions, Shri. B. Ramachandhiran, along with the Founder Trustee, Shmt. Radha Ramachandhiran.

The ceremony commenced at 10:30 AM with a grand graduation procession. The dignitaries initiated the event with the traditional lighting of the kuthuvilakku, followed by an invocation. Shmt. Radha Ramachandhiran, the Founder Trustee, officially declared the graduation day open.

Our Chairman Sir honored the chief guest, Prof. P. Prakash Babu. The chief guest then addressed the audience, emphasizing the importance of dedication and responsibility in the healthcare profession. This was followed by the presentation of the annual report by the Principal of SVCOPT, Prof. Dr. Jeyanthi. S, highlighting the achievements and progress of the institution over the past year.

In a moment of pride, the newsletter Physio Pulse (January to June 2025), were released. The highlight of the event was the awarding of medals and cash prizes to the college toppers. From the MPT program, Mrs. V. Swetha received a gold medal and a cash prize of Rs. 10,000 for securing the 1st rank, while Miss. M. Vasanthra and Mr. N. Mohamed Thougeeq were awarded a silver medal and Rs. 5,000 for the 2nd rank. In the BPT program, Miss. M. Arshiya Hussain earned the gold medal and a cash prize of Rs. 10,000 as the 1st rank holder, and Miss. S. Kumudhini received the silver medal and Rs. 7,000 for the 2nd rank. Mr. K. Sureshkumar received the best intern award.

The degrees were conferred upon the graduands by the Chief Guest. The graduates took an oath, pledging to uphold their responsibilities with utmost respect and diligence. This was followed by the presidential address given by our chairman, Sir, who inspired the graduates to strive for excellence in their professional lives.

Our Clinical Incharge, Mr. T. Bharaneedharan, concluded the event with a vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to all those who contributed to the success of the event. The ceremony concluded with the national anthem and a photo session, wrapping up the memorable occasion.
