Sri Venkateswara College of Physiotherapy Shines at International Conference in Kolar, Karnataka
Kolar, Karnataka – The RL Jalappa College of Physiotherapy recently participated in a prestigious two-day international conference organized by the institution on March 7th and 8th, 2025. The event, which brought together experts, students, and faculty from across the globe, saw an enthusiastic participation from our college (SVCOPT), with around 70 students, faculty, and the principal attending the conference.
A highlight of the event was the remarkable achievements by the college's students in various competitions. In the paper and poster presentation segments, 35 students from both UG and PG categories showcased their research and innovative ideas. Among them, Mrs. Lakshna G.B from the PG category was awarded the first prize for her outstanding paper presentation, while Ms. Prethika from the UG final year secured the second prize in the poster presentation category.
In the highly competitive Innovation Hub event, the team comprising Prof. M. Paulraj, Ms. Lakshna G.B., and Ms. Santhiya P. clinched the first prize, recognizing their creativity and innovative approach.
The cultural segment also saw great success, with the college's mime team winning the second prize. The team, including Ajithkumar, Dhanalakshmi, Akshaya, Vishnupriya, Rajalakshmi, Mahathuvan, Venmathi, and Priyadharshini, delivered a powerful performance on the theme of Women's Day, earning accolades for their emotional and impactful portrayal.
The conference also acknowledged academic excellence and research contributions. Principal Prof. K. Anand Babu, who served as the chairperson of the event, was honored with the Academic Excellence Award for his significant contributions to education and research. Prof. M. Paulraj was presented with the Young Researcher Award, recognizing his outstanding work in the field of physiotherapy research.
In addition, Mrs. Philomina, Assistant Professor, presented a paper in the academic category, further highlighting the college's commitment to academic excellence.
This conference not only served as a platform for showcasing the institution’s research and talents but also cemented RL Jalappa College of Physiotherapy’s reputation as a leader in both academic and cultural spheres.
