The Induction Program for the 16th Batch of Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) students was held with grandeur at Mary McMillan Hall on 3 October 2025. The event was organised to welcome the fresher’s into the institution and acquaint them with the academic culture and professional values of the physiotherapy fraternity. Expressing sincere gratitude to our respected chairman, Shri. B. Ramachandran, founder Ramachandran Mrs. Radha Ramachandran, Managing Director and Executive Director, whose constant support and encouragement have been the guiding force behind every success of our institution. The Induction Programme was graced by the presence of the Chief Operating Officer (COO), Special Officer (SO), Deputy General Manager (DGM), and General Manager (GM) of SVGI. The programme commenced at 12.15 pm with the soulful rendition of Thamizh Thai Vazhthu, followed by the traditional Kuthuvilakku lighting ceremony, symbolizing knowledge and new beginnings. An inspiring Achievement Video, along with a Hospital Video Display, was presented, highlighting the milestones of the institution and providing insights into clinical exposure awaiting the students. This was followed by a vibrant Welcome Dance, adding cultural flavor to the occasion. The formal proceedings began with a warm Welcome Address by Prof. Dr. Neethi (Academic Coordinator of SVCOPT). Principal Prof. Dr. Jeyanthi. S delivered the Felicitation Speech, encouraging the students to focus on academic excellence and holistic growth. The Presidential Address, delivered by the COO and other distinguished dignitaries, highlights the institution’s vision. Meritorious students from previous batches, including toppers and 100% attendance achievers, were recognised and honoured, inspiring the newcomers. The SVCOPT students then shared their impressions through the Feedback Session. The event proceeded with the Vote of Thanks delivered by Mrs. Malarvizhi, Senior Assistant Professor, expressing gratitude to all dignitaries, staff, and students. This was followed by the National Anthem, marking the conclusion of the formal ceremony. Finally, the Rules and Regulations of the institution were clearly explained by Ms. P. Nandini, Assistant Professor, providing students with the necessary guidelines to begin their academic journey responsibly.
