An awareness program on National Nutrition Week from the 1st of September to the 7th of September 2023 was held on the 7thSeptember 2023 by Department of Public Health Dentistry. The program was held at Sri RamachandraVidhyalaya High School,Ariyur. Students and teachers of the school participated in the program. The aim of the program was to create awareness about role of nutrition in general health and oral health in specific. All the students were screened for dental problems following which they were sensitized on nutrition and oral health by a talk delivered by Sivasri M and SuvedhaR CRRIs.The talk emphasized on the basics, various sources and role of nutrition in oral health. Detailed information about the role of refined sugar and junk food on dental caries was also included in the lecture.
