National Road Safety Month 2024
On the commemoration of National Road Safety Month 2024, the NSS unit of Indirani College of Nursing has organized an “Awareness on Road Safety” on the theme “Be a Road Safety Hero” on 10.02.2024 from 2.30 Pm to 5.30 Pm on Gandhi Statue, Beach Road, Puducherry. National Road Safety is observed to raise awareness among the people about the significance of following road safety practices like wearing seat belts, avoiding rage driving, wearing helmets, and abstaining from drunk driving. We must take the necessary steps to promote road safety and prevent accidents.
The program started at 2.30 pm with the warm welcome given by Dr. Kannagi, NSS Programme Officer. The rally was performed by NSS volunteers. This program was raised awareness about safe driving practices and educate people about the importance of following traffic rules. Students displayed poster and placards and recited slogans on road safety and safe driving and riding habits. 13 students from B. Sc Nursing II year have actively participated.
The program was conducted successfully under the guidance of Dr.Prof. Malliga.M, Principal, and Dr.Prof. Rajeswari. R, Vice Principal. The program ended at 5.30 Pm with the feedback session. Dr. Prof. Rathidevi. S, NSS Programme Officer, Miss.Gunasakthi. G., Lecturer, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecological Nursing coordinated the overall program along the B.Sc Nursing II Year students.
