Vaanga Tamizh Pesalam: Celebrating the Beauty of the Tamil Languages

Department of Management Studies, Sri Venkateshwaraa College of Engineering & Technology, Ariyur has organised Vaanga Tamizh pesalam ( DOMS Activities)  for I MBA Students on 8th July 2023.

"Vaanga Tamizh Pesalam," a captivating event that celebrates the beauty, depth, and richness of the Tamil language. This event, organized with great enthusiasm and passion, aims to promote the heritage and significance of Tamil among the students.

Vaanga Tamizh Pesalam  takes participants on an exciting linguistic journey through various rounds that highlight different aspects of the Tamil language.

Round 1: Tamil Riddles

In this round, participants are test with their problem-solving skills as they unravel intriguing Tamil riddles. The round challenges their ability to decipher clever wordplay and cultural references embedded within the riddles.

Round 2: Proverb

Participants has delve into the treasure trove of Tamil proverbs, showcasing their familiarity with these insightful sayings. They explore the depth of wisdom contained within these proverbs and demonstrate their understanding of their cultural and social implications.

Round 3: Translation

This round assess participants' proficiency in Tamil translation. Participants are  presented with a selection of English sentences or phrases, in which they need to accurately translate into Tamil. This round tests their linguistic skills and knowledge of Tamil grammar and vocabulary.

Round 4: Thirukural"

Thirukural, a timeless Tamil literary work, has been the focus of this round. Participants are quizzed on their knowledge of the ethical and moral teachings contained within Thirukural. They showcase their familiarity with its verses and the principles they convey.

Round 5: Tongue Twister

The final round has challenged the  participants to tackle tongue twisters in Tamil. They navigate through a series of intricate phrases and sentences, testing their pronunciation, diction, and linguistic agility.

Vaanga Tamizh Pesalam aims to create an engaging and interactive platform for participants to connect with the Tamil language, its cultural significance, and its linguistic nuances. It celebrates the beauty and essence of the Tamil language while fostering a sense of pride and appreciation among participants.
