SVCET NSS UNIT CONDUCTED AWARENESS RALLY ON WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY 2026

WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY 2026 – AWARENESS RALLY REPORT

Sri Venkateshwaraa College of Engineering and Technology (SVCET), in association with the National Service Scheme (NSS) and Bisleri’s “Bottles for Change” initiative under the CSR project, organized a World Environment Day 2026 Awareness Rally on 05 June 2026 at 9:00 AM in the college premises.

The programme was conducted under the patronage of Dr. S. Pradeep Devaneyan, Principal, and Dr. K. B. Jayaraman, Vice Principal. The event was graced by Dr. S. Saravanan, NSS Programme Coordinator (College) and Mr. Iyyappan J, CSR Executive, Bisleri International Pvt. Ltd., Program under CSR Project “Bottle for Change”, as the special guests.

The programme commenced with Dr. S. Saravanan flagging off the World Environment Day Awareness Rally, marking the official start of the event. He also administered the World Environment Day Pledge, which was taken by all students, faculty members, and NSS volunteers, reaffirming their commitment to environmental protection and sustainable development.

The rally was coordinated by Mr. L. Selvakumar, NSS Programme Officer, along with Dr. C. John Sundar, NSS Coordinator, and Mrs. A. Lalitha, NSS Coordinator. Students and NSS volunteers actively participated in the rally by carrying placards and spreading awareness messages on environmental conservation, waste management, plastic reduction, and sustainable living.

The rally successfully created awareness among the participants and the public regarding environmental protection and the need for collective action to preserve natural resources for future generations. The programme concluded with a renewed commitment from all participants to adopt eco-friendly practices and contribute towards building a sustainable future.
