Sri Venkateshwaraa College of Engineering & Technology: Commemoration of The Summer Solstice Session under the professional society, "The Solar Energy Society of India" on 21st June 2024.

 

Under the direction and guidance of our Management, Research & Development Cell organized the commemoration event of The Summer Solstice under the professional society, "The Solar Energy Society of India" in association with the Department of Mechanical Engineering & Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering. The Resource person, Mr. Shanmuganantham Veerasamy, Chairman -CII Puducherry, CEO-Touch Solar Technologies Pvt. Ltd., Puducherry, gave awareness on Solar Energy and deep insights on "Need of Renewable Energy and Battery Energy Storage System". Also, he insisted on the need for the installation of solar plants at homes and requested the gathering to use renewable energy to save the environment.

Our Principal, Dr. S. Pradeep Devaneyan delivered welcome address in

the presence of Dean-Academics, Dr.K.B.Jayarraman, Dr.B.Magimairaj, HoD/Mech and Mr. R. Venkedesh, HoD/EEE. Dr.G.Amuthavalli, Research and Development -Head organized the event successfully with the coordinators, Mr.Karthikeyan, AP/Mech, Mr.Bharathan, AP/EEE and the students volunteers: Mr.Sathyamoorthy & Mr.Ajai from final year Mech and Ms.Pavithra & Ms.Anitha from final year EEE. The Head of the Departments of CSE, BME are also attended this programme along with the SVCET students. The students of EEE, Mechanical, ECE and BME benefitted out of the session by understanding the importance of solar energy.
