SVCET Signs MoU with Dongguk University, Republic of Korea on 08 August 2026.
Sri Venkateshwaraa College of Engineering and Technology (SVCET), Puducherry, marked a significant milestone in its journey towards international academic and research collaboration by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Dongguk University, Seoul, Republic of Korea, on 08 August 2026.
The programme was honoured by the presence of a distinguished international academic delegation from Dongguk University comprising Prof. Sejoon Lee, Director of the Institute of Future Technology and Director of the Quantum-Functional Semiconductor Research Center; Prof. Youngmin Lee, Professor, Division of Physics and Semiconductor Science; and Dr. Sankar Sekar, Associate Professor, Quantum-Functional Semiconductor Research Center.
The programme was held with the support and guidance of the management of Sri Venkateshwaraa Group of Institutions. The occasion was graced by Honourable Chairman Shri B. Ramachandiran, Founder Chairman Shrimathi Radha Ramachandiran, Chief Operating Officer Dr. B. Vidhya, Principal Dr. S. Pradeep Devaneyan and Vice-Principal Dr. K. B. Jayaraman, along with Deans, Heads of Departments, faculty members and students.
The MoU provides a framework for strengthening cooperation between the two institutions through exchange of graduate students and Ph.D. scholars, faculty exchange for teaching and research, joint research activities, exchange of research publications and collaborative educational initiatives. Both institutions also intend to encourage cooperation among faculty members and explore opportunities for national and international research funding.
The collaboration is expected to provide enhanced opportunities for international exposure, interdisciplinary research, knowledge exchange and collaborative innovation for the students, research scholars and faculty members of both institutions.
The MoU with Dongguk University represents another important step in SVCET's commitment towards academic excellence, global engagement, research innovation and international institutional collaboration.
