Sports – Volley Ball Newsletter

Sports is a discipline that brings people together, and pushes the boundaries of the human mind and body – it is often the perfect expression of human excellence. Continuing in the vein, the students of Sri Venkateshwaraa college of Engineering and Technology based at Pondicherry were bestowed a splendid opportunity to participate in a Volleyball Tournament for the year 2022-2023 held in the state of Thada, Andhra Pradesh which commenced from the 10^th of June to the 3^rd of July. The event was steered under the guidance of the Chairman, Shri. B. Ramachandran, SVGI. Volleyball has long been a popular sport in the college and this was evident in the enthusiastic response to the tournament as they bagged a win. Teams were built and shuffled even as the students worked hard to improve their chances in the tournament.

It was a huge moment and all the participants from the college in the tournament were great exponents of the best qualities of sportsmen and sportswomen, thus fulfilling the main objective of the tournament – to encourage students, the desire to participate and improve. The students were given appreciative credentials and certificates for their wins and their accomplishments. The victory was acknowledged by the Principal, Dr.S.Pradeep Devaneyan, Dean, Dr.K.B.Jayarraman, Department heads, and physical director Mr.Kumaravel.
