Date: July 22, 2025 Venue: SVCOPT
A Faculty Development Programme (FDP) was successfully conducted to empower faculty members through academic and personal growth. The theme of the session, "Turning Ideas into Assets – A Roadmap for Academicians and Innovators," focused on fostering innovation, research excellence, and strategic self-development among educators.
The session was led by the distinguished speaker Dr. Ashokan Arumugan, MPT, PhD, Associate Professor, University of Sharjah, UAE. With his extensive academic and research experience, Dr. Ashokan engaged the participants in an insightful and interactive session.
The programme offered a deep, thought-provoking interaction between the faculty and the resource person, especially addressing the challenges in research, strategies to overcome them, and pathways for personal and institutional growth.
A key highlight of the session was a structured SWOT Analysis, allowing faculty to critically assess their strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats. This exercise served as a practical tool to enhance self-awareness, identify areas for improvement, and align individual growth with the institution’s objectives.
The FDP was not only a knowledge-sharing platform but also an inspiring experience that emphasized innovation, self-evaluation, and actionable growth strategies for academicians.
This programme was made successful through the valuable support and guidance of Principal Prof.Jeyanthi S, MPT, PhD, SVCOPT.
