You are never too young to start an empire. You are never too old to chase a new dream. Entrepreneurship is usually understood with reference to individual business. An entrepreneur is by implication one who ventures out, who prefers change as a means of growth and is prepared to take a calculated risk for the possibility of the success of their vision. The salience of entrepreneurship has intensified, as it extend in the indigenous grounds. Therefore, to raise the basic awareness of entrepreneurial concepts and to enable students to identify and learn how to make a mind-set to take up entrepreneurship as a challenging career, Sri Venkateshwaraa College of Engineering and Technology in association with CII, Puducherry organized a guest lecture on “Entrepreneurship” with the guidance of Shri.B.Ramachandiran,Chairman, SVGI, on 19th october .The students were presented by the presence and proficiency of Mr.Sankaranarayanan, Past chairman, CII and Mrs.Sanhita , Vice chairman-CII-Indian Women Network, Pondicherry Chapter. The speaker introduced the different aspects of entrepreneurship and emphasized on introspection process which helps oneself to identify their potentiality and resource and how they look into this aspect and of course there will be obstacles, here, them being the aspect of cash and overcoming bureaucracy but implementing a sound business strategy, knowing your target market, your threat, and your strengths and weaknesses, will allow you to maneuver the difficult landscape of running your business. Entrepreneurs create social change. They break tradition with unique inventions that reduce dependence on existing methods and systems, sometimes rendering them obsolete. They are highly motivated risk-takers with a bottom-line of having a lot to achieve. The lecture motivated the students to work hard and start a new venture through adequate forward planning and the execution of the plans. The secondary speaker made an absolute win in describing the students on how choosing entrepreneurship is like choosing a life partner and entrepreneurs are served by qualitative instincts such as will, zeal and skill in this world of uncertainty. The lecture was overseen by  principal Dr.S.Pradeep Devaneyan and dean Dr.K.B.Jayarraman, the heads of various departments and faculties, the program was well organised by placement officer Mr.J.Anandharaj and his team.
