Indirani College of Nursing, a unit of Sri Venkateshwaraa Group of Institutions, organized an online programme to celebrate International Nurses Day- 2021 on 12.05.2021 from 10.00 am to 12.00 noon to commemorate the birthday of the great legend and Founder of Modern Nursing “Florence Nightingale''. The programme was organized by the SNA unit on the Theme for the year “Nurses: A Voice to Lead-Vision for future health care”.

The nursing students of all the courses are invited to participate in this auspicious event.
Warm words make everyone comfortable. The programme was inaugurated with the warm welcome by the most respected Principal Prof.Dr.Malliga Kannan and she opened the theme of the day. The gathering flourished with the words of principal about the International Nurses Day, the importance of Nurses in the healthcare industry and challenges faced by the nurses in the present pandemic. Following this event, all the faculties of ICON addressed their views about the significance of the role of nurses and the nurse educators in the present scenario.
The budding student nurses also shared their views and experiences of nurses in the challenging situation. A number of competitions were planned for the students on the theme like painting, pencil art, slogan writing, balloon painting and solo singing with prior intimation. The students had participated in all the events. The winners were announced by the Evaluation teams. E-certificate is presented through mail for the participants and the Winners. Gratitude is magnet for miracles, the programme ended with such expressed gratitude by Prof.Dr.Rajeswari.R, Vice Principal cum SNA Advisor to the Management, Principal and faculties for their great support. We feel proud to salute all the COVID WARRIORS AND MARTYRS for their dedicated service towards this pandemic challenge.
