Neuropathodynamics using Neurodynamic techniques WORKSHOP
SVCOPT successfully organized an enriching workshop on 'Assessing and treating Neuropathodynamics using Neurodynamic techniques' on July 23, 2025, held at Mary McMillan Hall. The resource person for this event is Dr. Ashokan Arumugan, MPT, PhD, specialised in orthopaedics and manual therapy. The event brought together faculty, students, and distinguished guests, including our esteemed resource person, to engage in a meaningful academic exchange.
The session began on a positive and auspicious note with the traditional Kuthuvilakku (lamp lighting) ceremony, symbolizing the dispelling of darkness and the ushering in of knowledge. Dignitaries were invited on stage to light the lamp, marking the formal commencement of the event.
Following this, the Welcome Address was delivered by our respected Principal, Prof. Dr. Jeyanthi S, MPT, PhD Her words reflected the institution’s continuous commitment to academic excellence and inspired the audience to embrace the learning opportunities ahead.
The workshop featured a special introduction of the resource person, Dr.Ashokan Arumugan, MPT. PhD, Associate Professor, Sharjah University, Sharjah, UAE, a highly regarded expert in orthopaedic and manual therapy. With an impressive 26 years of experience and a strong track record of research achievements. Followed by the speaker's note, Dignitaries honoured the resource person with a memento and a certificate.
We were also honoured by the presence of our Chief Operating Officer, Dr. Vidhya, who addressed the gathering with words of encouragement and emphasized the importance of continuous professional development and collaboration.
Adding further depth to the session, our Advisor, Dr. Vengutarammane, shared valuable thoughts, highlighting the importance of strategic vision and mentorship in organizing impactful academic events.
Finally vote of thanks was delivered by Ms.Nandini, MPT (Ortho), Assistant Professor.
The workshop was a remarkable success, fostering dialogue, exploration, and skill-building among attendees. The institution looks forward to organizing many more such initiatives that nurture academic growth and innovation. Overall event was well organized by Miss. S. Pavithra, MPT (Neuro), Assistant Professor, along with all the faculty of SVCOPT.
