Seminar - World Prematurity Day
In commemoration of World Prematurity Day, a seminar on the theme “Give Preterm Babies a Strong Start for a Hopeful Future” was organized for III Year B.Sc Nursing students on 17.11.2025 at Indirani College of Nursing. Dr. Athira Pradeep, Senior Resident, Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology, SVMCH & RC, served as the resource person and delivered an insightful session on prematurity, covering risk factors, diagnosis, prevention, and management of preterm birth. The seminar enhanced students’ understanding of neonatal care and emphasized the vital role of nurses in reducing infant morbidity and mortality. The program was highly beneficial and inspired students to contribute effectively to improving infant health in their future practice.
