The auspicious lamp lighting ceremony for nursing students

The auspicious lamp lighting ceremony for nursing students was held on 8^th February 2024 at Indrani College of Nursing for B.Sc nursing, DGNM, and ANM courses. The program was presided over by Shirmathi.Radha Ramachandran Founder Chairman of Sri Venkateswara Group of Institutions. The program was started with a procession of young budding nurses, invocation, and lighting of kuthuvillaku by dignitaries. Mrs.Winny  Anna Ninan, lecturer at the Department of Community Health Nursing, welcomed the gathering with warm words. The students lit their lamps by dignitaries and took the Nightingale pledge which was recited by the principal Prof. Dr.Malliga Kannan.The Presidential Address was delivered by the honorable Founder Chairman Srimati. Radha Ramachandran. The chief guest Dr.S. Ratnaswamy  Director delivered lamp lighting address with a special note on the history of the nursing profession.  Academic advisor Mr. Venkataraman Dr.M.Loganathan Medical Superintendent, SVMCH&RC, graced the occasion with felicitation. The program successfully ended with a vote of thanks by Prof.Dr.Rajeswari.R., Vice principal with sincere gratefulness.
