Department of Child Health Nursing has organized Guest Lecture in commemoration of World Sickle Cell Anemia Day under the theme of “GLOBAL ACTION, LOCAL IMPACT: EMPOWERING COMMUNITIES FOR EFFECTIVE SELF – ADVOCACY” at Indirani college of Nursing, Lecture Hall-I, on 19.06.2025 between 10.00 AM to 11.00 AM. Resource person Dr. Rajiv Sony, M.D (Pediatrics)., Senior Consultant Pediatrician, Department of Pediatrics, Government of Puducherry. Had deliberated a brief lecture about the incidence, History of sickle cell anemia, Epidemiology, Worldwide census about sickle cell, causes, pathology, clinical symptoms, investigation, managements and prevention of sickle cell anemia and Ongoing research regarding eradication of sickle cell anemia by the year of 2047.
