SVCET NSS RALLY ON 28-9-2024 TO PROMOTE CLEANLINESS Swachh Bharat Swasth Bharat PROGRAMME

In order to raise awareness about cleanliness, proper waste disposal, and hygiene practices among the local community, the National Service Scheme (NSS) unit of Sri Venkateshwaraa College of Engineering & Technology, Ariyur organized a rally on cleanliness and hygiene under the "Swachhata Hi Seva 2024" campaign on 28th September 2024 in Villianur, Puducherry. On advice of Chairman, and CEO the programme was initiated by Villianur Superintendent of police and the event was presided over by our College Principal Dr.S. Pradeep Devaneyan and Vice Principal Dr.K.B. JAYARRAMAN  along with all Department Heads.

The primary objective of the rally was to inspire and motivate the residents of Villianur to adopt and maintain cleanliness in their surroundings and promote hygienic practices to prevent diseases.

Around 200 NSS students’ volunteers, with faculty members, took part in the rally. The rally commenced at 10:30 AM from Villianur bye pass road, with participants carrying banners, placards, and slogans promoting cleanliness and hygiene. The volunteers actively raised slogans like "Swachh Bharat, Swasth Bharat" and "Cleanliness is next to Godliness" to inspire the onlookers. The team distributed pamphlets on the importance of sanitation, waste segregation, and safe drinking water practices.

The Rally has been well organised by NSS Co-ordinator Mr.Karthikeyan, Asst.Prof. Mechanical Engineering along with his team members and Student Representatives. All the First year Class Advisors and First Year Students were actively participated in this event.
