The Department of Emergency Medicine at SVMCH successfully conducted a comprehensive Basic Life Support (BLS) training program for 70 faculty members of the Sri Venkateshwaraa Dental College at the a international training centre of American Heart Association on 05.08.2026
The workshop focused on empowering dental educators and clinicians with critical life-saving skills to handle acute medical emergencies effectively within dental practice. Participants underwent rigorous hands-on simulation training in high-quality Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), Automated External Defibrillator (AED) deployment, airway obstruction management, and choking relief techniques.
The interactive sessions emphasized rapid assessment, practical decision-making, and team coordination, significantly strengthening emergency preparedness and reinforcing patient safety protocols across all clinical dental operatories.
