On Commemoration of Human Rights Day, Student Nurses Association has organized an Expert Deliberation on the theme – Dignity, Freedom and Justice for All on 13.12.2022 between 10.30 am to 12.30 pm at Multipurpose Hall, Indirani College of Nursing. Beneficiaries of the program were around 209 students from M.Sc Nursing I Year, B.Sc Nursing III Year and B.Sc (Nursing) IV Year students. The program started at 10.45 am. Mrs. Nandhini.S Lecturer, Department of Medical Surgical Nursing welcomed the gathering and introduced the Resource Persons, Ms. Marie Claudine Gerard, CEO, Ripples Preschool, and Mr. Karthik L, MBA., B.L Advocate, Puducherry. Following that Guest Speaker delivered the lecture on theme – Dignity, Freedom and Justice for All. Mam  had discussed on Human Rights, importance, Essentials of Human right Commission, Establishment of Human Rights in India and Sir has explained about basic rights of a Human, difference between Fundamental Rights and Human Rights and also deliberated about various acts related to various population, like Woman’s Right, Child Protection Act, Gender based Violence Act in an brief manner. Students actively participated and gained knowledge on Human Rights and various acts. Principal mam Prof. Dr Malliga M was felicitated the gathering and honoured the Resource persons. Followed by that, Mrs. Nandhini. S Lecturer delivered the Vote of Thanks. Program ends at 12.40 Pm. Overall program was conducted under the Guidance of Principal Prof. Dr Malliga M and  Prof. Dr. Rajeswari. R, Vice principal cum IQAC Co-ordinator.The participants feedback was obtained at the end of the program which stated that the program was very useful and that the students gained in- depth knowledge on Human Rights and its importance. The program successfully ended at 12.45 pm. Ms. Dhanalakshmi J, Assistant Professor, Department of Community Health Nursing and Mrs. Nandhini.S, Lecturer, Department of Medical Surgical Nursing Coordinated the overall program along with the    M.Sc (N) and B.Sc(N) students.53% of students gave feedback as Excellent.
