UNICEF Day 2025 - Guest Lecture on “My Day, My Rights”
The Nursing Education Unit of Indirani College of Nursing, Department of Child Health Nursing, organized an enlightening guest lecture in commemoration of United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund (UNICEF) Day 2025. The programme was centered around the theme “My Day, My Rights”, highlighting the importance of child rights, well-being, and protection in today’s world.The session was delivered by the esteemed resource person Dr. Pratheep Aynstin Antony, E., MD (Paediatrics), Consultant Paediatrician, ES Child Care Centre, Trichy. With his rich clinical expertise and extensive experience in child health, Dr. Pratheep delivered a highly informative lecture focusing on children’s fundamental rights, the significance of safeguarding childhood, and the role of healthcare professionals in ensuring holistic child development. He emphasized the need for creating safe, nurturing, and inclusive environments that empower children to grow, learn, and thrive. The event was conducted on 11.12.2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon, at the Florence Nightingale Auditorium, ICON. Nursing students and faculty members participated enthusiastically, engaging in interactive discussions on child health, education, safety, and advocacy.
