PONGAL CELEBRATION 2025

Student Nurses’ Association and Cultural Committee of ICON have organized a Pongal celebration on 10.01.2025 between 8.30 am to 4.00Pm. The entrance decorated with colorful Rangoli for the students. It is celebrated to shavuos and look forward to an ecstatic year. The students arrived in conventional attire to mark the occasion. The faculties and students gathered to celebrate Pongal with their respective classes. It was an ambience filled with revelry, music, and dance. A joyful face reverberated the traditional way with the big smile.

The ceremony was inaugurated by lighting the lamp, prayer and the firewood was lighted by Prof.Dr. Malliga kannan Principal of ICON. As the milk came up to the brim of the pot, boiled water and  milk overflowed and the crowd cooed 'pongalo pongal' to express oneness. The games such as 'Kayaru illuththal', Uri Adithal, Musical chair, Water filling, were conducted. The traditional cultural of Folk dances beautified the occasion. Sweet Pongal was distributed to all the students. The day came to an end with the announcement of the prize winners for the Competition

 All the faculties and students participated in the programme and enjoyed it with great enthusiasm. Overall program was organized successfully under the Guidance of Principal Prof.Dr. Malliga kannan and Prof.Dr. Rajeswari. R Vice Principal cum IQAC Coordinator. The Programme successfully ended at 4.00pm .Mrs. Kalpana R, Associate Professor, coordinated the overall Programme
