CAPACITY BUILDING IN IMMUNIZATION

The State level workshop has been organized by the Department of Community health Nursing on the theme of “Capacity Building in Immunization” from 14.03.2022 to 16.03.2022.This Programme was planned and organized under the guidance of Principal Prof.Dr.Malliga.M, Organizing Chairperson and it was greatly supported by Dr.R. Rajeswari, IQAC coordinator cum Vice Principal of the Institution.

The programme commenced at 8.30 am everyday and ended by 4.30 pm. B.sc Nursing III and B.sc Nursing IV Year students from our institution actively participated in the programme and gained knowledge and developed skill regarding.Immunization. The programme started with the warm inauguration with the guests Dr.Prema, Medical Officer, PHC, Ariyur and Dr Karl Marx, Medical officer, PHC, Netapakkam.

The various sessions on Immunization were dealt by the expert resource persons such as Dr.Prema, Medical Officer, PHC, Ariyur, Dr Karl Marx, Medical officer, PHC, Nettapakkam, Dr.Prof.T.Nandhini,Associate Professor,MTPG&RIHS,Govt of Puducherry, Prof.K.Sangeetha,VMCON, Mrs.Jamunarani Professor ,Department of OBG,ICON, Dr. S. Rathidevi, Professor, Department of Community Health Nursing, ICON, Mr. Thirivikraman, Associate Professor, Department of Community Health Nursing, ICON and Mrs.Amudha.G, Associate Professor, department of OBG,ICON.

The hands on training were provided on the various skills on Immunization by Mrs Girija ANM, PHC Ariyur, Mrs Kanmani, ANM, PHC, Ariyur Mrs Karthiga.M and Mrs Nathiya.M ANM, PHC - Nettapakkam. Finally the programme completed with a valedictory session and the various good feedbacks were obtained from the participants. The workshop had been a great success by the team effort of Dr. S. RathiDevi., Organizing Secretary of the workshop and the faculties of Department of community Health Nursing.
